The purpose of this website is to showcase research that has as little as possible to do with the vast incompetent institution that is what academia has become. This website puts a formula (the American put pricing formula) front and center on purpose–to convince contemporaries with short attention spans that the author is no crank. Although the author has many traits in common with the crank, the author differs from the crank inasmuch as the author has the skill, training and experience to conduct the research presented here.
It is far too easy for men of modest intellect to dismiss a convoluted mathematical proof or a long-winded article out of hand. A formula is different. A formula invites the critical thinker, a rarity these days, to verify its accuracy. This website is more than one formula, however. It includes a number of articles on economics, mathematics, actuarial science, religion and politics.
Since the average Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) has an intelligence quotient (I.Q.) of roughly 115, academic peer review is the worst feature of the academic system, and it serves to censor every research publication except what can pass muster with a random individual who is as much less intelligent than the bright researcher as a moron is less intelligent than the average man. This website pioneers research that is totally independent, and it showcases articles unfettered by anti-intellectual academic peer review and oversight.
While the website may not appeal to many (such as the anti-intellectual professor and the anti-intellectual Ph.D.) the few to whom it may appeal will include the ones who will advance science for years to come.
